Antique Dark Red Bakelite Office Set, For Collectors

The set is predominantly made of a gorgeous, dark red Bakelite color variety, resembling Dominican amber. With a very slight transparency and organic-like dark streaks inside the set exerts true charm and elegance! The wax seal is blank, maybe a part is missing, the crown is made of Brass. The nib of the penholder is unmarked, made of white metal with some small oxidation spots on.

The pencil is mechanical and there is a large piece of well-sharpened graphite inside that could have been in there for quite some time.

The box has celluloid outer wrap and soft interior.

This is a vintage art deco jewelery box made entirely of molded Amber from
the butterscotch variety as seen by the gorgeous shades! The colors are melted into one another varying from honey yellow to Baltic orange and darker brown streaks!
The amber material seems organic and leaves an impression as if it is almost melting like heated ice cream on the sun.

In all, this art deco amber bakelite jewelery box is pretty rare and impressive, most probably it was originally made for and owned by an aristocratic European family, though there are no initials or seals on the box itself. This magnificent
piece of art could as well be unique!

Vintage Werra Camera Novonar 3.5/50 35mm, Mint Condition and Rare!

The Werra is a series of 35mm viewfinder or rangefinder cameras manufactured by the Carl Zeiss Jena factory. This is quite special, since it is actually a lens making plant. The Werra is named after a small German river. It offers a high degree of control with a very low number of levers, knobs or rings. One could call it a design camera. Looking at the camera house, there's only the shutter button. All other features have been moved to less-visible parts of the camera. This gives the Werra a stylish look.

The unique feature of the Werra is the covered ring around the lens barrel. Twisting this ring cocked the shutter and advanced the film in one smooth motion. In addition, the lens cap is also used as a shader by unscrewing the front cap and screwing it onto the lens.

Founded in 1859, Märklin released its first wind-up train with cars that ran on expandable track in 1891. Although it originally specialised in doll house accessories, today it is best known for model railways and technical toys. In some parts of Germany, the company's name is almost synonymous with model railroads.

This is Märklin Locomotive is model DB 260 417-1. It operates in 24 Volts, made in HO scale. The corpus is made of very fine, high quality bakelite with cast detail elements. The locomotive has a neat and detailed craft, life-like design. It is in overall excellent condition! Has two front lights on the cabin and all electronics work! Marklin officially are out of business and from now on each Marklin especially the vintage models have an increasing collectible value! Own this piece of railroad modelling history!

On the bottom of the loco is embossed a logo with "EM" letters, which we presumed standing for "Electro-Motive". The locomotive is in HO scale and is crafted with very fine details and realistic design! It is made of bakelite with
transparent plastic windows. Has a small, embosed emblem on the sides with SSSR (Soviet Russia) logo.

It also let company to establish among Märklin, Fleischmann and Roco as "the fourth biggest" in model railways market with a complete offer in the very much spread H0 scale.

This Piko locomotive is a E69 05 model in HO scale - a replica of German Locomotive Prototype Used to Run Between Murnau and Oberammergau. Can be either Track or Trolley Powered. Made in GDR. The lokomotive is made of bakelite with metal detail elements.

This Week in The Auction Spot: New Arrivals 1950s-60s Model Trains, Wagons and Rails of TT and HO Size. Quite Interesting Additions!

The TT scale (Table Top - 1:120) is bigger than N (1:160) but smaller than H0 (1:87) It originated from the US but became more widespread in the countries of Eastern Europe (Under Soviet Occupation from 1945-1989) including Eastern Germany which no longer exists today.
The main manufacturing took place in Eastern Germany by a state owned company.

First it was Rokal, then Zeuke and finally in the 70's it became Berliner TT Bahnen.

After the reunification of Germany production resumed and is still going on today under the "Tillig" brand name. Several other manufacturers like Roco, Piko, Gützold, Micro Trains USA, Noch, Faller saw the unexplored potential of the scale and are producing more and more trains and accessories in TT scale.

Those train sets gave many of us the first taste of Model Railroading and although we are also modelling in H0 or N scale TT stayed very close to our hearts.

This vintage Zeuke TT-scale small passenger train composition wagon is made in GDR (Cold war Germany) in the 1950s-60s. The cabin is made of smoothly-matted bakelite, pleasant to the touch, and painted with high quality colors.
The wheels are metal and roll smoothly. The wagon is very finely-crafted and detailed and is in a mint condition! Comes in its original Zeuke carton box!
